Volunteer crew removes the marble from the entrance.

Away goes the ticket booth and all side walls in the entrance, to be stored in Baalman Storage Units (donated by them)

Delivery to the storage units until later.

Careful with that marble.

Entrance with ticket booth and side walls removed. We'll use the marble there later.

The same design will be used in the new entrance.

MAY 15-16, 2007....Just a few more pics...It's pretty close to having it's "lid" on!  The space open in the front will have the slanted roof as before but I think  they are pretty much done with the trusses for now.  It feels a lot different with the roof up there.  It's more like a building again rather than a burned out shell.  It'll be hard to get many more pictures now.  It's dark in there!  I'll try to get what I can as we make more pregress but I don't think we'll see much more for a while.  We'll keep this site posted however...no matter how small the progress.

From inside building showing front portion of roof still open.

Note fire extinguisher in window!

MAY 15, 2007....Some more pictures.  word is that the trusses will be up by the end of this day.  As you can see, the sheeting is also going on as the trusses are put in place.

MAY 14, 2007...Crane has been brought in to assist in the placement of the trusses.  Main Street has been blocked off for a few days.  Some of the pictures were taken from the roof of Peoples Bank....(Yiippees!)  Fun to be seeing so much activity and a roof going on!

MAY 7, 2007...The following pictures were supplied to us by Rich Owens on his visit to Deer Lodge the week of May 5th.  Thanks so much, Rich, for your input for this site.  I need all the help I can get!  We are so happy to be seeing a roof going on also!!

APRIL 24, 2007...The pictures below were taken from the stage into the auditoriu.  The steel posts on the sides have been installed to hold the roof.  The work is being done by Sun Mountain of Deer Lodge.  The trusses should be here with a week or so and will then start to be put into place.  I'll keep pictures coming of the progress.

Former ramp to balcony (Uuugghh!)

JANUARY, 2007....The demolition and removal of fire debris is started by Jim Gilman Construction of Butte, Mt.   We were very lucky that we were able to save the outside and front walls as well as the stage area so that we don't have to rebuild the entire building!
