RIALTO PICTURES (OLDER)
OCTOBER, 2008
This is the workings of where the dome for the chandelier will go. Steve is inspecting the hole in the ceiling where the previous thing will be going!
These are panels that will hide lights that can be lowered for plays, etc. Maggie Hunter, Cathy Wilson and their art classes will be painting the decorative touches on them from stencils.
Some of the painting crew. Duct/Heating system.
August, 2008
Volunteer crew removes the marble from the entrance. Away goes the ticket booth and all the side walls in the entrance. It will be stored until it will be re-installed at a later date. Storage unit has been donated by Jim & Patti Baalman for our use during this time.
Delivery to the storage units until later. Entrance with ticket booth and side walls removed. We'll use the marble there later.
The work platform will soon be finished (photos taken by Steve Owens on August 2, 2008). Work will really gear up once the platform is finished!
Just so they don't forget what the ticket booth & side walls look like!
JULY 26, 2008
The Montana State Prison Fire Crew assisted in removing more debris and setting up a cradle for the steel beam.
Deer Lodge Asphalt, headed by Bruce Anderson, remove the steel beams to make way for the work platform that is being built.
And away it goes!
JUNE 29, 2007-- New "look like red tile" roof now on! It's not tile from Italy but it sure looks good to us!

MAY 16, 2007---Just a few more pics...It's pretty close to having it's "lid on"! The space open in the front will have the slanted roof as before but I think they are pretty much done with the trusses for now. It feels a lot different with the roof up there... it's more like a building again rather than a burned out shell....It'll be hard to get many more pictures now....it's dark in there! I'll try to get what I can as we make more progress but I don't think we'll see much more for a while. We'll keep this site posted however....no matter how small the progress!

May 15, 2007----Some more pictures....word is that the trusses will be up by the end of this day. As you can see, the sheeting is also going on as the trusses are put in place.
May 14, 2007 Crane has been brought in to assist in the placement of the trusses. Main St. has been blocked off for a few days. Some of the pictures were taken from the roof of Peoples Bank...(Yiiipes!!) Fun to be seeing so much activity and a roof going on!
Up
we go to the roof!
From the roof of Peoples Bank...
Up go the trusses and into place.....(Until my battery ran out!)
I think most of these are self-explanatory.....if you have any questions about any of them just e-mail me at tgmizner@yahoo.com

April 24, 2007
The pictures below were taken from the stage into the auditorium. The steel posts on the sides have been installed to hold the roof. The work is being done by Sun Mountain of Deer Lodge. The trusses should be here within a week or so and will then start to be put into place. I'll keep pictures coming of the progress. There are also pictures of the demolition that I'll try to get on here.
